This inspector will sit in Wilmington, NC.
DAY-TO-DAY: This role focuses on technical capabilities in water infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include: • Act as a liaison between contractors, the design team, and owners. • Review construction documents, create daily and periodic field reports, and review reports from others. • Coordinate field surveys and material testing and witness acceptance tests and equipment startups. • Address and resolve issues promptly during construction with the appropriate teams. • Schedule and document substantial and final completion inspections, including punch lists. • Review redlines for record drawings and process closeout documents, warranties, and final payments.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • Willing and able to climb ladders, routinely travel and traverse uneven, unpaved terrain and work outside for extended periods of time on construction sites. • Able to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Able to communicate with engineers, contractors and owners in an effective, professional manner. • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, and either Adobe Acrobat or BlueBeam. • Willing to work nights, weekends and/or overtime if required.
