Construction Module Lead-Commission (Mechanical Completion)
Overview MCL requires a Construction Module Lead for our Oil and Gas client for their Yard in China.Duration: Estimated 18 month contractLocation: Yard in ChinaRate: Please apply for this role to discuss your rate expectationNB: Candidates MUST be locally based / currently reside in China / already posses full working rights in China Responsibilities Project Description:Raia is an Brazilian FPSO greenfield project in the detailed engineering and execution phase. The engineering and construction activities will be split over several locations around the world. This specific role will be following-up construction activities at Bomesc Yard in China.Role Responsibilities:This position is responsible for the follow-up of the all scope for engineering, procurement, construction, completion and pre-commissioning (if applicable) activities related to assigned modules under their responsibility that be performed by the Seller’s and the subcontractors in Tianjin China - Bomesc.The Module Manager shall: Act as safety ambassador at yardBe visible and act as a role model for safety, quality and collaboration and deliver according to project and Equinor values including I am Safety.Be a role model of Equinor’s Code of Conduct.Paying close attention to HSE and attending and contributing regularly in daily TBT, holding regular safety walk with Contractor & subcontractor.Ensure that stop work authority is duly understood by contractor & subcontractors.Ensure that contractor’ construction and quality control departments follow the required procedures, specifications, and standards to ensure that all quality requirements are met.Verify progress and quality performance.Report deviations and highlight problem areas to construction manager.Identify outstanding issues such as schedule delay, potential claims, permitting issues and provide input for mitigation plan in a timely fashion and closely monitor the improvement.Ensure that potential changes in Construction scope are monitored and avoided unless if current solution is unsafe or impossible to operate or maintain.Ensure preservation is taken care of by Seller and its subcontractor according to project requirement and well followed up, verified and controlledContribute to and follow up risk systematically in the project internal system, taking proper mitigating actions in timely manner to prevent delays or any quality issue.Monitor manpower situation regularly, ensure contractor and their subcontractor providing proper required skilled manpower and support counterpart to uplift productivity upon optimized manpower utilization.Monitor Seller and Sub-Contractor supervisory level and their competency to ensure proper level of skilled supervision.Follow up and ensure alignment and consistency between engineering deliveries (IFC) and construction need dates.Ensure construction use latest revision of engineering AFC drawings.Monitor delivery of material and equipment and ensure about on time delivery and report any slippage immediately.Aligned with discipline lead and contribute to ITPs, ensure participation of EQN team accordingly.Monitoring the welding progress and quality of structures, piping, outfitting, and erections and installation of equipmentProviding regular progress reports to the Construction manager of progress, quality and HSE Coordinate with discipline leads (structural, piping, painting, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure about prioritization and smooth construction progress and contribute to resolving interface issues in a timely manner.Follow-up Seller's utilization of their completion tool according to project procedures.Actively work with contractor to ensure that mechanical completion is achieved with absolute minimum of punch listed items.Follow up and verify contractors closing of punch items as required.Aligned with all discipline lead to ensure construction is compliance with all statutory or regulatory requirementsWork in collaboration with Contractor and Subcontractor’s counterpart (module mangers) following up the quality assurance and control activities as per Contractor’s issued plan.Ensure, in collaboration with Quality lead, that quality deviations are captured, reported and managed according to Quality Deviation handling process.Close collaboration with project support team in Singapore if needed.Contribute to seamless transfer from topsides site to integration phaseFamiliarize with Contractor’s Site/technical Query system and follow-up relevant items closelyEnsure experience transfer process is followed:Evaluate lessons from other projects for implementation in RAIA Bomesc scope.Ensure lessons from RAIA Bomesc scope are captured to share with the rest of the project and with other projects in Equinor.Competence Requirements:Bachelor of Science or equivalentMinimum 7-10 years’ relevant experience from preparatory and execution phaseLonger relevant experience may compensate for less formal educationKnowledge to Equinor and the Equinor way of working is and advantageGood construction knowledgeConstruction yard experience from offshore platform or FPSO projectsLeadership experience is an advantageGood team player with high HSE standards and focus
