**This position is located in Green Bay, WI. Relocation or commute required**
Since 1945 Frank O Zeise Construction Co, Inc continues to position themselves at the forefront of the commercial construction Industry. Due to company growth, we are looking for a skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair construction equipment Sky Trak-Lull forklifts, snorkel lifts, scissors lifts, vehicles, trailers, small engines, power construction equipment and hand power tools, etc.
Salary range is $27-$35 an hour depending on experience. Paid weekly.
Health, Dental, and Vision insurance are available as well as a 401K retirement plan. Seven paid holidays. Two week accumulative paid vacation time that increases over time. CDL reimbursement for obtaining or maintaining license. Heated shop. Paid 15 minute morning break. Company Christmas party.
Position is full time 1st shift, Monday-Friday hours are 7am - 3:30pm. 40hours a week.
What a Mechanic Will Do
- Repair and or complete routine maintenance construction equipment, vehicles, trailers, hand power tools or mechanical components according to the manufacture requirements
- Inspect equipment and complete annual inspections, engines, transmissions etc. and run basic diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Perform thorough routine maintenance on construction equipment, and vehicles etc.
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and construction equipment
- Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to construction equipment or vehicle users
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., repair of hydraulic systems, i.e., hoses, wheel bearings, brake pads, tires, leaf springs, starters, touch up painting, annual inspections vehicles etc.)
What a Mechanic Needs to Have
- Proven experience as Mechanic
- Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical, and other systems and their components
- The ability to work independently, managing your own workload and projects
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, equipment manuals etc.
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Very good communication and organizational skills
- A problem-solving ability
- Valid class A CDL is or the willingness to obtain one (we cover costs)
