You will manage and train engineering technicians while overseeing construction materials testing (CMT) services, focusing on concrete, earthwork, and deep foundation projects. Compensation:
$30 - $40 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Mentor, train, and support field technicians, fostering professional growth and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with managers to enhance processes, develop training programs, and strengthen workforce capabilities.
- Oversee construction materials testing operations, including concrete, earthwork, and deep foundations.
- Manage multiple third-party testing projects, ensuring technical accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate schedules and resources for field technicians and equipment to meet project deadlines and requirements.
- Communicate technical findings, updates, and recommendations effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary client contact, addressing concerns, troubleshooting issues, and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Prepare project estimates, proposals, and draft invoices, ensuring competitive pricing and accurate billing.
- Monitor project budgets, making adjustments to maintain profitability and meet client expectations.
- Maintain flexibility to resolve unexpected challenges and adapt to project changes while promoting a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably within geotechnical engineering or a related specialty.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of construction management processes, means, and methods, with specific knowledge of geotechnical materials and techniques.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as MS Office Suite
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven leadership and team management skills to oversee project teams efficiently. Superb organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address challenges that arise during project execution.
- Transportation: Possession of a valid driver's license and a reliable insured personal vehicle for travel to various job sites, with mileage reimbursement provided by the company.
