Construction Manager in Orange County

Job Description

SkillSetGroup is seeking an experienced Construction Manager based in the Orange County, CA area. This position will be on-site, hands-on project manager for various commercial/QSR construction projects throughout the Southwest US territory. The ideal candidate must have experience with all site aspects for ground-up builds within the retail/commercial industry. Extensive experience with day-to-day construction site management is also a must. This position does require a 4-year degree in Contruction Management or related field. This position will require 30-50% travel throughout the Southwest US region. This will also be a DIRECT HIRE role.

Must Have: 10+ years of construction management experience with strong ground-up commercial/industrial construction, preconstruction, budgeting, estimating, contractor management, and leadership experience.

\n

\n

Project Background: Manufacturing, production facilities, warehouses, distribution centers, food/beverage facilities, or other large operational facilities.

\n

\n

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

\n

\n
• 10+ years of construction management experience.

\n

• Strong ground-up commercial/industrial construction experience.

\n

• 5+ years of leadership, GC oversight, preconstruction, development, or owner's-representative experience.

\n

• Strong estimating and capital-budget experience.

\n

• Experience selecting and managing general contractors.

\n

• Knowledge of construction contract structures including GMP, lump sum, cost-plus, design-build, and CM-at-risk.

\n

• Experience managing multiple projects and construction teams.

\n

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.

\n

• Food/beverage, production, hygienic, GMP, or FSMA construction experience is highly valuable.

\n

• Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera or similar construction software .
