We are now looking for a high Calibre Construction Manager to support the delivery of one of their major Programmes.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the organization, direction, supervision, and coordination of Construction activities on a project site as delineated in the applicable procedures and Site Specific Safety Plan.
Physical construction works will commence late 2023/early 2024.
You will:
- Be responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, establishment of manpower levels, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records.
- Work with the various Engineering design teams to support the development of Construction Sequencing and Deliverability together with the development of the initial Construction Management Plan.
- Support relevant interfaces with key stakeholders including client SME’s / IC’s and supply chain members.
- Implement the Construction portion of the assigned project through day-to-day direction of all field activities and is responsible for all job site activities.
- Ensure all Construction activities is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements, and is built to quality standards.
- Function as a Project Manager on a direct-hire construction-only project or as the field manager on an engineering/ procurement/construction management project.
- Be responsible for managing this major and complex demolition project.
Requirements:
- Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC in Construction or Engineering discipline
- NVQ Level 6 Diploma- Construction Management
- Understanding / Experience & Implementation of CDM 2015 roles and in particular the role of Principle Contractor
- Have a recognised safety qualification; preferably NEBOSH Construction / General or similar
- Proven knowledge and experience of Demolition project and ideally experienced in Decommissioning activities and Radioactive Waste Management
- Hold a CSCS card for the position.
We need all candidates to ideally be Security Cleared (SC) or have no issue in obtaining SC.
