BDI Marine Contractors is a growing Florida-based marine and civil construction company specializing in bridge repair, seawalls, sidewalks, roadway construction, and site development. Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction General Manager to lead and oversee all field operations and project execution company-wide. This leadership role is responsible for managing superintendents, project managers, manpower strategy, scheduling, safety performance, and overall operational efficiency.

This position plays a critical role in scaling the company, improving processes, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across multiple projects and job sites

• Lead and manage superintendents, project managers, and field leadership

• Develop manpower plans and staffing strategies to meet production goals

• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and productivity

• Improve operational processes, systems, and accountability

• Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company standards

• Coordinate closely with ownership on forecasting, planning, and growth initiatives

• Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed

• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and inspectors

• Drive a positive, professional company culture

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction leadership experience

• 5+ years managing multiple teams/projects simultaneously

• Strong background in heavy civil, marine, or infrastructure construction

• Proven experience leading superintendents and project managers

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to read plans, specs, budgets, and schedules

• Comfortable making high-level operational and staffing decisions

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites

• Marine or DOT/public works project experience

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Experience with construction management and payroll/time tracking software
