Job Title: Construction Manager I, II, III
Job Type: In-person
Location: North Denver, CO
Work Type: W2 – Permanent
Starting Pay and/or Pay Range: $72,000 – $90,000 + Full Benefits
Job Summary:
The Construction Manager manages and oversees the performance and activities of construction crews, ensuring work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This position inspects ongoing work, ensures adherence to state and local codes, coordinates materials and schedules, arranges for necessary equipment, and ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the activities of assigned construction crews.
- Continuously evaluate, coach, and improve team member performance.
- Enforce company policies and administer appropriate disciplinary actions when needed.
- Train and oversee Foremen assigned to active projects.
- Coordinate scheduling, material ordering, and site logistics with the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with customers on-site for coordination and project planning.
- Approve invoices, order materials, and manage assigned project budgets.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Track milestones and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
- Complete and approve daily production reports, as-builts, and closeout packages.
- Work with administrative staff on timesheets, documentation, and job setup.
- Participate in interviews and hiring decisions for field crew members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience managing and training construction crews.
- Proficiency in aerial and underground construction methods.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project management/scheduling software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid).
- Ability to perform cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret RFPs, contracts, and job documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications/Licenses:
- CPR/First Aid (Required)
- OSHA 30 (Required).
