Job Description
Construction Manager – Industrial / Logistics\n\nNewport (projects across Newport & Gloucester)\n£55,000–£70,000 + package\n\n We are working with a leading UK main contractor specialising in the delivery of large-scale industrial and logistics developments, including major warehouse, distribution and manufacturing facilities along the M4 corridor.\n\n Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of multiple new-build industrial schemes.\n\nRole Overview\n\n As Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the on-site construction delivery of major steel-frame industrial projects, typically valued between £10m–£80m. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead site teams, manage multiple subcontract packages and drive programme, quality and safety from groundworks through to handover.\n\n This role would suit an established Construction Manager or a strong Senior Site Manager ready to step up into a CM position on major industrial projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead day-to-day site operations across large industrial/logistics schemes\nManage and coordinate multiple subcontract packages including groundworks, steel frame, cladding, M&E and externals\nDrive short-term programming and sequencing of works\nTake ownership of site health & safety, quality and programme performance\nChair subcontractor meetings and daily coordination briefings\nWork closely with the Project, Commercial and Engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery\nOversee inspections, snagging and sectional / final handovers\n\n Requirements\n\nExperience working for a main contractor in a site management / construction management role\nProven background delivering industrial, logistics or large commercial new-build projects\nDemonstrable experience on steel-frame and envelope packages\nStrong leadership skills with the ability to manage large site teams and subcontractors\nExcellent knowledge of construction processes, HSEQ and programme control\nSMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold) and First Aid\n\n What’s on Offer\n\n£55,000–£70,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)\nCar / travel allowance\nPension & private healthcare\nBonus scheme\n25 days annual leave + bank holidays\nLong-term secured pipeline of industrial projects\nClear progression route into Senior Construction Manager / Project Manager\n\n Project Locations\n\nNewport & Cardiff\nGloucester & wider M4 corridor
