Freelance Construction Manager\n\nProject: Commercial Fit-Out Inc Cut & Carve\n\nLocation: Central London\n\nRole: Construction Manager\n\nRate: £300 - £350 per day (CIS)\n\nStart: Immediate Interviews & Start\n\nAn experienced freelance construction manager is required to lead a high-profile £25m commercial fit-out and cut & carve scheme in Central London.\n\nThis is a technically complex, design-led refurbishment delivered by a respected contractor specialising in high-end commercial interiors and structural reconfiguration. The programme runs for approximately 6 months, with strong potential for further work beyond completion.\n\nThe Project\n\n * £25m commercial refurbishment\n\n * Full Cat A & Cat B fit-out\n\n * Extensive cut & carve works, including structural removals, floor additions and basement alterations\n\n * High-spec finishes throughout\n\n * Logistically challenging Central London location\n\n * You’ll be supported by a project manager and an established commercial and design team.\n\nYour Responsibilities\n\n * Lead and manage day-to-day site operations of an area/floors\n\n * Drive programme, sequencing and subcontractor coordination\n\n * Oversee structural and fit-out packages concurrently\n\n * Maintain strict H&S compliance and quality standards\n\n * Manage logistics in a constrained urban environment\n\n * Liaise with client, consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical challenges.\n\n * Ensure delivery of high-end finishes to exacting standards.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\n * Proven experience delivering Cat A/B fit-out or structural refurb projects (£10m+ )\n\n * Strong background working with reputable main contractors or fit-out specialists\n\n * Confident managing complex cut & carve programmes\n\n * Excellent technical understanding and drawing interpretation\n\n * Strong leadership presence and ability to drive site performance\n\n * Experience operating on tight Central London sites\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n * Immediate start\n\n * Initial 6-month freelance contract\n\n * Competitive day rate (£300–£350 DOE) CIS\n\n * Long-term pipeline potential with an established contractor
