Construction Manager

We are looking for a Construction Manager for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Jubail, KSA

Contract Duration: 12 months

Work Status: Resident, Single

Preferably local candidates with transferable Iqama

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Degree: Bachelor
• Experience and Specific Skills (technical, functional, and/or leadership experience required)
• 10 years of relevant experience in the same position.
• Strong knowledge of erection work execution.
• Advanced relevant construction work experience, preferable in Middle East Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards.
• Interpersonal skills: ability to work with others in collaborative manner.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously and ability to manage changing priorities.
• Experience in integrated projects and joint Venture organizations.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental aspects of major construction projects.
• Ability to adapt to changes and to work in an international multi-cultural project environment, to cope in a positive and productive manner within intensive environment. Interpersonal skills, rigor, and analytical mind.
• Ability to work as a member of a project Team, to liaise, coordinate and positively communicate with the involved different Parties (Contractors, project Entities, auditors, other disciplines representatives, experts, project people, PMT EPCC packages, etc.)

Activities

The Construction Manager will have the following accountabilities for the discipline and the interfaces between disciplines, to:

General:

• Providing overall direction in the planning, organizing, management and control of construction activities and ensuring the site management procedures for the project are developed.
• Participating to the development and implementation of the HSE culture among the Project, and promoting all Safety programs at Site, especially by "leading by example".
• Identifying and supporting cost-schedule-quality-functionality optimization initiatives and constructability/risk assessment inputs for project.
• Maintaining open relationships with, and early involvement of, Commissioning group and Operations personnel to ensure smooth and timely handover of facilities to Operations, as per project specifications.
• Leading the team in the analysis, design and implementation of approved changes and Variations to ensure all revisions are to the requirements of the construction capabilities and satisfy end user's needs.
• Reporting and coordinating with the Package Manager(s) and the Project Site Manager.
• Supporting the planning team and Contractors in scheduling, organizing and reporting construction and site activities in order to meet project schedule, identify slippages and implement required solutions.
• Analyzing the performance of the preparation and execution of construction activities and identify possible optimizations and their related implementation, as per Project requirements and objectives.
