Key Responsibilities
- Support the Client Construction Team across all activities within the assigned area, in line with PMC responsibilities, including quality control, progress tracking, financial monitoring, risk and opportunity management, and reporting.
- Lead and coordinate the PMC Construction Team to ensure contractors deliver in accordance with contract terms, project standards, and approved schedules.
- Collaborate closely with other PMC area teams and provide regular updates to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure full compliance with Client policies, procedures, and project execution standards.
- Coordinate with Client logistics and Manufacturer Supervisors to ensure timely equipment delivery and proper installation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Client and Contractors to proactively resolve issues.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure technical compliance, adherence to schedule, cost control, and HSE requirements, aligned with approved design documentation.
- Verify that contractor activities comply with contractual procedures, management plans, inspection and test plans, and applicable legal requirements.
- Oversee QA/QC activities, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, codes, and regulations.
- Manage technical documentation, ensuring that certificates, manuals, drawings, and records are complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Maintain continuous communication with contractors to address delays, quality concerns, and scope or requirement changes.
- Prepare progress and risk reports, identify deviations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Support planning teams with progress measurement and look-ahead activity planning.
- Proactively identify project risks, escalate when required, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Issue formal project communications related to construction activities.
- Lead and participate in project, coordination, and contract review meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Directors, Construction Manager, or Client.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of Construction Management experience within Oil & Gas, Engineering & Construction, Steel, Mining, or Infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams (QC, scheduling, risk, contracts, cost control, reporting).
- Strong background in QA/QC.
- Proven experience as Construction Manager on large-scale industrial projects.
- Experience in risk management and mitigation planning.
- Solid commercial and contractual understanding.
- Experience delivering technically complex, multidisciplinary projects.
