DJ&A is searching for a highly organized and experienced Construction Manager to become part of our team. The Construction Manager will be responsible for reviewing various materials and testing submittals, processing pay estimates, managing construction schedules, and ensuring compliance with various contractual requirements. Additionally, the Construction Manager will supervise one or more on-site construction inspectors, guaranteeing the highest quality of service for our clients. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, design engineers, on-site contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all construction activities align with the project plans and specifications.

- Northwestern Montana
- Colorado
DJ&A has offices in Montana and Washington to service these project locations. Some projects may require up to 10%+ travel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical, clerical, and other office-related and administrative support to the construction management team.

- Assist in documenting and organizing construction progress, including, but not limited to, ASIs, RFI, submittals, field notes, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes, and processing of pay applications, invoices, etc.
- Assist field staff in the review and interpretation of construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, field and inspection staff, and contractors to resolve construction-related issues.
- Assist in the review and approval of construction materials and methods.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related role.
- Experience in project administration, project management, and other administrative and technical support within the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, terminology, construction process, documentation, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
- Ability to work remotely or in an office environment and support remote team members.
Potential Earning Boosting Qualifications:
- ACI (American Concrete Institute) certifications (e.g., Concrete Field-Testing Technician, Concrete Strength Testing Technician)
- NICET ( Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) certifications (e.g., in highway construction, asphalt, concrete)
- ICC (International Code Council) certifications (for building inspectors: Residential, Commercial, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Inspector)
- OSHA certifications
- Demonstrated successful experience with similar responsibilities on projects with comparable scope and complexity
- Other relevant state and local licenses and certifications
Salary and Benefits
- Hourly wage: min. $40 to $50 an hour.
- Per diem reimbursement.
