Construction Laborer duties and responsibilities

·          Follow instructions from project managers, supervisors and the general manager

·       Help form, pour and finish concrete

·          Loading and unloading building materials

·          Cleaning the construction site by removing hazards materials and debris from the worksite

·          Assisting craft workers such as carpenters or electricians with there duties as needed

·       Operate tools such as drills, jackhammers, compactors, etc.

Construction Laborer skills and qualifications

The following are important skills for a Construction Worker to have:

·       Basic math skills to preform calculations while on a job site

·       Mechanical skills to run basic construction equipment such as drills, jackhammers and compactors

·       Employees in this position work closely with other team members; interpersonal skills and being a team player are an essential skill for these positions

·       Physical strength when performing job duties such as lifting and moving material around a job site

·       Physical stamina to handle working long hours performing manual labor during the workday in hot or cold weather
