Construction Technician
Immediate opening for construction labor worker to install geosynthetic liner systems throughout the United States.
Special Requirements:
- Work hours are long, irregular, and may be physically strenuous, including but not limited to working in extreme, outdoor weather (Hot and Cold), long distance walks up and down steep slopes, oversee and maintain equipment and supplies, etc.
- Travel requires extended periods of time as necessary (100% of the time 8-10 months out of the year), with various breaks throughout the winter months, with long hotel stays, away from home, and travel throughout the United States.
- The applicant must be physically fit and able to perform labor required of the job, unencumbered. This position requires physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance working in an open, outdoor environment. Lift and carry 25-50 pounds regularly.
- Texas Environmental Plastics pays a competitive wage rate in addition to a cash per diem, paid hotel, travel, and training. TEP also offers company benefits such as medical, 401k, and other benefits competitive in the industry. **Salary is dependent on experience in this industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deploy Liner, welding, seaming, sewing of materials
- Fill and move sandbags
- Site clean-up
- Any other related duties that are needed to complete installation
Qualifications:
- On the job training
- Self-starter
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to Multi-task
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work flexible work schedules. Including long and irregular hours
