Duration: June 2026 to October 2028 (approx)

Housing Allowance: $2688/month

About the role: Seeking an on-site Construction Inspector for a steam distribution system overhaul at the U.S. Coast Guard, New London, CT. The inspector will conduct daily site surveillance, document progress, review contractor submittals, and keep the Government's COR informed of compliance issues.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily construction inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Document site progress through reports, photographs, and submittal reviews
• Report compliance issues to the Government COR and project team
• Coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders to support project execution
• Use tools such as Procore and Microsoft Project for tracking and communication
• Maintain inspection and quality assurance records
• Ensure work complies with federal construction regulations and contract requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years on federal government construction experience within the last 10 years
• Minimum 2 years in steam distribution systems, civil/site work, or mechanical/utilities installation
• Demonstrated knowledge across multiple construction trades (structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, civil, etc.) and underground utilities
• At least 1 relevant project example involving steam systems, civil/site work, or utilities/mechanical room work
