Direct Counsel is seeking an Associate Attorney to join a leading law firm in its Infrastructure Group. This firm offers one of the broadest and most sophisticated infrastructure practices in the U.S., advising on the innovative delivery of large public civil works projects.
Position Highlights:

Location: San Francisco or Sacramento (hybrid work environment)

Experience: 4–8 years

JD Year: 2017–2021

Salary Range: $185,000 – $265,000, plus eligibility for annual bonuses (including up to 15% of base compensation for meeting billable hour expectations)

Annual Billable Hours Expectation: 1,850 (includes up to 100 hours of approved pro bono work)
Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with partners and clients on major infrastructure projects.

Take on significant responsibility early, managing multiple matters efficiently.

Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality legal services in a fast-paced environment.
Background:

Extensive experience in construction law.

Additional experience in real estate law, project finance, public contract law, and/or transportation regulatory law is highly valued.

Professional or academic background in engineering, construction, or project finance is desirable.

Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.

Must be admitted to the State Bar of California.
