Job DescriptionJob Description
Supervises and coordinates the work of a crew of workers in a specific craft or trade. Primarily concerned with seeing that the workers under them do their job skillfully and efficiently, and that assigned work progresses on schedule. They deal with the routing of material and equipment, and with the laying out of the more difficult areas of the job. The work requires quick, clear thinking and quick onsite decisions. Foremen should have a broad working knowledge of a craft; must be able to read and visualize objects from blueprints; and should have an eye for precise detail.

Prepares a daily work schedule
•
Hold daily safety meeting to walk the job site for possible job hazards; ensure JHAs are accurately and complete
•
Supervises workers to ensure tasks are being completed in high quality.
•
Carries out frequent safety checks and trains other employees to safely handle equipment and tools.
•
Complete daily evaluation of workers; recommending disciplinary action on deserving cases.
•
Conduct test and inspection of products & services to ensure they meet quality standards
•
Provide update on project status on daily/weekly/monthly basis, as required
•
Complete material request form and submit by 10 am daily, specifying material necessary to complete daily work schedule.
