Vertical Mechanical Group (VMG) is seeking a Construction Field Operations Coordinator to join our growing team! This office-based role is central to ensuring our field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and on time. You'll work closely with project managers, field leadership, HR, and recruiting to make sure every job site is properly staffed and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Staffing & Scheduling: Coordinate daily dispatch and scheduling of field labor across all job sites, adjusting as needed.

Field Communication Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between the office and field teams for workforce logistics and scheduling updates.

Contract Staffing Reviews: Assist project managers in reviewing contracts and scopes to plan labor needs.

Change Order Coordination: Track and process manpower-related change orders, ensuring documentation and communication are accurate.

Performance Oversight: Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance trends, collaborating with leadership for feedback and improvement.

Workforce Pipeline Management: Partner with HR and recruiting to ensure skilled labor availability for current and future projects.

Compliance & Safety Support: Coordinate required documentation, reinforce company policies, and ensure proper onboarding steps are followed.
Qualifications

Bilingual in English & Spanish (Required)

3+ years of experience in construction coordination, dispatch, operations, or workforce management

Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with scheduling platforms, workforce tracking, or spreadsheets

Comfortable working full-time, in-office in a collaborative team environment

Familiarity with construction terminology and documentation is a plus
