Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, focusing primarily on electrical infrastructure and substations. The role involves analyzing project specifications, collaborating with project managers, and heavily utilizing Microsoft Excel for cost calculation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain cost databases for various construction materials and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate cost assessments.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to create cost estimating spreadsheets and reports that provide clear insights into project costs.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies within the project scope.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding of the figures presented.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide updates or revisions to estimates as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimating principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating spreadsheets and performing data analysis.
  • Familiarity with construction project management software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
