Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that bids are competitive, comprehensive, and aligned with project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work.
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates for proposals, bids, and budgets.
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Prepare bid packages and participate in pre-bid meetings.
  • Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value-engineering options.
  • Maintain cost databases, historical data, and unit pricing.
  • Collaborate with project management and procurement to refine project budgets.
  • Track project costs and assist with change order pricing when needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (commercial, residential, or civil).
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostX, ProEst, Sage, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field ().
