Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Engineer to their Naperville Team!
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison with contractor
- Conduct on-site observation as needed
- Coordinate construction activities
- Maintain job site records (daily reports, job meeting minutes, approval drawings, and/or pay requests)
- Observe/document construction activities and maintain a daily log of construction activities
- Monitor progress schedule/shop drawing log
- Review pay requests/verify completed work
- Perform general civil engineering and client service duties
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Civil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis on construction engineering
- 3+ years of progressive experience
- PE License or ability to obtain within one year
- Past IDOT or Illinois Tollway project experience
- Construction experience with Chicago DOT/Metra
- Experience with IDOT/Tollway construction management software
Salary is commensurate with experience.
