We are seeking a Construction Cost Estimator II to support a portfolio of infrastructure and renovation projects for a major energy-sector account. This role will be based onsite in Houston, Texas and will work closely with project managers, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure accurate cost planning and estimation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates with limited documentation during early project planning stages.

Support project managers in reviewing change orders, value engineering proposals, and contractor bid packages.

Maintain a historical cost database and apply cost modeling strategies using tools like RS Means.

Assist in bid package preparation, contractor scope definition, and bid evaluation.

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and jurisdictional authorities to align cost planning with design, scheduling, and compliance requirements.

Contribute to construction documentation processes and assist with project budget forecasting.

Manage multiple project estimates across renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and new construction efforts.
Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field – or equivalent experience.

5+ years of management experience.

3+ years in a supervisory construction/project management capacity.

Proven experience estimating construction costs for new builds, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.

Proficient with RS Means for cost modeling and estimation.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe, Visio, and general Windows OS.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Experience with Procore, Smartsheet, or MS Project.

Familiarity with large-scale energy, utility, or industrial construction project environments.

Background in infrastructure lifecycle planning and budgeting.

Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
