Construction Coordinator in Indianapolis
Job DescriptionJob Description
The Role: Right Hand to Senior Management in the Field & Office
Are you a master of logistics who speaks "blueprints" as fluently as "spreadsheets"?
We are a family oriented leader in the construction business, and we are looking for a Construction Coordinator to act as the primary liaison between our President and our active project sites. This is a high-visibility role where your organization directly impacts the company’s bottom line.
Whether you are looking for a Full-Time career path or a flexible Part-Time role, we offer a hybrid work schedule that trusts you to manage your time between the home office, the job site, and the corporate headquarters.
How You’ll Contribute
In this role, you aren’t just filing paperwork—you are the "engine room" of our operations. You will support the President in:
-
Project Flow: Tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
-
Communication: Serving as the bridge between subcontractors, vendors, architects, and the President.
-
Documentation: Managing permits, RFI logs, change orders, and submittals with surgical precision.
-
Procurement: Coordinating material deliveries and equipment rentals to keep crews moving.
-
Reporting: Preparing weekly progress updates and budget snapshots for executive review.
What We’re Looking For
-
Industry Knowledge: At least 2–3 years of experience in construction administration or project coordination. You should know the difference between a footing and a joist.
-
Tech Savvy: Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, CoConstruct, or Buildertrend) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Autonomy: Since this is a hybrid role reporting to the President, you must be a self-starter who doesn't need micromanaging.
-
Communication: Professional, direct, and capable of holding subcontractors accountable while keeping clients happy.
Work Schedule & Flexibility
We value results over "desk time."
-
Hybrid: Work from home for administrative tasks, with 1–2 days per week (or as needed) on-site or in-office for meetings with the President.
-
Your Choice: We are open to candidates seeking Full-Time (40 hours/week) or Part-Time (20–25 hours/week) depending on experience and fit.
Why Join Us?
-
Direct Impact: Work alongside the President and influence the direction of the company.
-
Flexibility: A work-life balance that is rare in the construction industry.
-
Growth: We are expanding, and this role is designed to grow into a Project Manager position for the right candidate.
