Construction Specialist

• Location: Atlanta, GA

• Contract: W2 only, 7-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full-time

• Pay: $34/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview
This role involves overseeing overhead and underground construction, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating project activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, framing and strand poles, transferring facilities between poles, placing Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and Connectivity & Platforms trailers.

• Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.

• Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.

• Supports Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.

• Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.

• Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer requests and complaints.

• Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.

• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff who perform tasks in the same function.

• Sets priorities for the team. Assigns tasks and checks work at regular intervals.

• Responsible for ensuring all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, Local, State, or Federal standards and regulations.

• Ensures new or upgraded power supply is in place and operational prior to cut date.

• Overall responsibility of the quality of the NGAN product: from the contractor building and to the Operations we hand off to.

Required Skills

• Experience in overhead and underground construction activities.

• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance procedures.

• Ability to generate and review logs and reports related to construction projects.

• Strong coordination and supervisory skills.

• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.

• Effective communication with contractors and technical teams.

• Ability to monitor and ensure project quality standards.

• Proficiency in updating project documentation systems

• Field experience in network or construction projects.

Skills

• Familiarity with NGAN products and regional network operations.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project issues efficiently.
