Construction Coordinator

We are seeking a Construction Coordinator to support new store builds and site development projects in the Nashville area. You will oversee Zaxby’s development projects across Tennessee, with a strong focus on Nashville-area builds. The role is development-heavy and will eventually grow into an executive-level position with oversight across multiple markets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with key phases of QSR site development, including site prep, construction coordination, and store openings.
- Support project managers in overseeing multiple store buildouts across the Nashville market.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth on-site operations.
- Review basic architectural and civil drawings with guidance from senior team members.
- Help evaluate structural, HVAC, and roofing conditions during pre-construction and build phases.
- Track and schedule ordering, delivery, and installation of equipment.
- Communicate with signage vendors and assist with city/county permitting processes.
- Visit job sites regularly (primarily in Nashville) and report progress to the development team.
- Work collaboratively with internal construction, operations, and finance teams to maintain timelines.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in commercial construction, tenant buildouts, or site development (QSR/retail experience a plus).
- Familiarity with reading construction drawings and understanding basic building systems.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Comfortable coordinating with vendors and contractors in the field.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
