Construction Controller / Office Manager

A privately held construction and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Controller / Office Manager to support financial management and internal operations. This role is well-suited for a hands-on professional comfortable working across accounting, project support, and office administration in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger

• Manage job costing, budgets, and project financial reporting

• Prepare periodic financial statements and cash flow reporting

• Coordinate with CPAs, auditors, banks, and outside consultants

• Maintain internal controls and financial procedures

• Oversee daily office operations and administrative support functions

• Maintain organized records for contracts, compliance, and insurance

• Support leadership with reporting and operational coordination

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience, preferably in construction

• Strong knowledge of job costing and project-based accounting

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

• Experience with public works, prevailing wage, or certified payroll

• Familiarity with bonding, lien releases, and insurance documentation
