Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organized 100% REMOTE Part-Time Construction-based Bookkeeper to join their team immediately. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records for our construction projects. The successful candidate will work approximately 30-40 hours per month and possess a strong background in construction accounting, particularly with experience using Viewpoint Spectrum software.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable specific to construction projects.
  • Manage job costing and project-related expense tracking.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
  • Prepare and process payroll for construction staff.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, tailored for construction.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the construction industry.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Viewpoint Spectrum construction software is required.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and lien waivers.
  • Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to start immediately.
