Construction Bid Coordinator

Position Overview:

Berks Construction Group, a large general contractor, is looking to hire full-time Construction Bid Coordinators based out of our Wyomissing, PA corporate headquarters. In this position you will be soliciting subcontractor quotes for all types of commercial construction projects as part of our bidding process. This position requires an outgoing personality, excellent time management, and strong phone skills.  Your work directly influences our ability to win projects!

Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining relationships with commercial subcontractors and suppliers.
• Soliciting subcontractors for bids/pricing on various scopes of multiple commercial construction projects.
• Networking with suppliers and trades to increase subcontractor base.
• Making continuous phone calls to subcontractors and responding quickly and efficiently to the questions asked.
• Following up on subcontractor questions and concerns.

Qualifications:

• Sales and/or Customer Service background with Outbound Call Experience .
• Construction Industry background a plus, but not necessary.
• Strong telephone and internet skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Capable of handling multiple projects/tasks.
• Must be able to work effectively in a close team environment.
• Ability to take directions and suggestions in an open and collaborative way.
• Good verbal communication and follow-up.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attentive to minute detail, focused, and precise with communications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and “reliable” transportation.
• This is a Monday-Friday position, where maintaining punctuality and satisfactory attendance are required.
• This is not a remote or hybrid position.
