We are seeking a Construction Assistant to join our team! You will oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation
• Coordinate with other team members, project managers, designers, and suppliers to determine project details a scope of work to be completed
• Correspond with customers via email, phone or text to build a lasting relationship
• Order construction materials and schedule deliveries of materials on time to ensure all deadlines are kept
• Coordinate with subcontractors throughout project duration, i.e. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Perform in-field inspections of construction projects as required
• Follow-up with customers during the planning process, installation process, and after the job is completed to ensure complete customer satisfaction
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints
• Provide information about the products services
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and concerns
• Document and update customer records based on interactions
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving products and services
• Assist the construction manager when he is in the office or field
• Answering the phone (taking great notes to ensure we deliver exactly what the customer ask for)
• Writing customer quotes
• Post customer payments from email
• Update inventory log once team leaves for the day
• Allocate resources for assigned projects
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction management or other related fields is , on the job training provided
• Previous experience in customer service, sales, or other related fields ( but not required)
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Bilingual (Spanish) but not required
• Positive and professional demeanor and appearance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Buildertrend experience is but not required
• Familiarity with construction management software
• Strong leadership qualities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
