DiSabatino Construction Company, an equal opportunity employer, is seeking a Construction Accounting Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in running the accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This role requires understanding of financial concepts and proficiency in accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable, receivable and payroll transactions in a timely manner.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Prepare and process payment runs, including checks and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Utilize ERP software for various accounting functions, including payroll management.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, receivable and payroll principles, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in financial software such as Procontractor or Quickbooks or other construction accounting software.
• Familiarity with payroll management processes is a plus.
• Solid understanding of financial concepts and tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
