Buildline General Contractors is a growing commercial construction firm specializing in design-build, ground-up, and renovation projects across Georgia. We pride ourselves on delivering projects efficiently, maintaining tight cost control, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
We are looking for a Construction Accountant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in construction accounting processes. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing project costs, and supporting leadership with clear financial insights.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, and job cost reports.
- Develop and analyze reporting for business operations, budgets, and project performance.
- Process pay applications, subcontractor billings, and change orders.
- Perform internal audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Create and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide timely financial insights.
- Manage general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Assist with tax preparation and external audits as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ().
- 3+ years of experience in construction accounting or job cost accounting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of AIA billing, retainage, and project cost tracking.
- Detail- and deadline-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
