What you'll be doing
Leading the Configuration Engineering function across multiple delivery teams
Managing and mentoring a small team of engineers, helping to shape best practice
Acting as the Configuration lead on technically complex defence programmes
Driving improvements in tooling, processes and documentation standards
Representing Configuration Engineering at project and functional leadership level
Ensuring configuration data, change control and system traceability is always maintained
What you'll bring
A background in engineering or configuration management, ideally within defence, aerospace or other regulated sectors
Experience working with configuration standards such as DEF-STAN 05-057 or similar
Confidence leading small teams and influencing across a broader engineering function
A structured and pragmatic approach to governance, compliance and delivery
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
