Full job description:

Jaws Concrete Pumping LLC is now hiring operators at our Rexburg location. We are seeking a skilled concrete pump operator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in operating concrete pumping equipment on construction sites and ensuring efficient and safe delivery of concrete for various projects.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual that enjoys working on their own while being part of a team.

This role requires a strong understanding of concrete and the ability to work collaboratively with other construction professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Operate concrete pumps at Construction sites
• Ensure proper setup and maintenance of Pumping Equipment
• Collaborate with Construction team to determine the best methods for concrete placement
• Monitor and adjust the flow of concrete during pumping operations
• Pump Operators typically go from 1 to 3 different jobs a day
• The best Operators are calm and thoughtful as opposed to nervous and excitable
• They can communicate well with others and like to work outdoors
• Common sense is more important than book learning
• A positive attitude carries a lot of weight

Duties include:

• Controlling operation of the pump and the output of concrete by directing the hose
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members

Qualifications for how to perform this job successfully:

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)is mandatory
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks associated with construction work
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
• Be able to solve problems under pressure
• Commit to safety practices and procedures on the job site
• Be efficient, punctual and willing to learn and comprehend the operation of the equipment, as well as basic mechanics that may involve keeping the equipment and working condition
• Drive the pump in a safe and conscious manner to and from job sites. We share the roads with friends, family, neighbors and customers.
• Operate the pump in a safe and conscientious manner
• Set up and tear down and clean out the pump after each job
• Light repair of equipment, some maintenance is required
• Know the pump well enough to recognize problems and report them
• Customer relations represent the company through efficient work and courteous service
• Keep the unit clean, keep the pump and truck washed and free of concrete, dirt and grease.
• Keep system free of concrete
• Return pump after use to appropriate location in the yard keep a yard neat and orderly
• Complete and submit pump inspection forms, job tickets keep an accurate timecard of your daily work

Physical demands:

• Must be able to meet DOT requirements of Health
• I must be able to verbally communicate to others
• Good manual dexterity to climb on and around equipment and all-weather conditions common to the area
• Must be able to lift to 100 lb overhead position
• Must be able to push and pull up to 50 lb
• Must be able to set up and dismantle rubber and still pipelines
• Must have the balance and dexterity to maneuver around a construction site and must enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be drug Free

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
