About this Position:\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Composite Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy on an initial 6-month contract (Outside IR35). This role offers the chance to work on high-performance, lightweight structures within a fast-paced and technically demanding environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of advanced composite components, supporting projects across a range of industries.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Design and development of composite components and assemblies using Siemens NX\n\n * \n\n Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and technical documentation to support manufacturing and build processes\n\n * \n\n Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stress, manufacturing, and vehicle integration engineers\n\n * \n\n Apply best practices in composite design, including material selection, layup definition, and joining methods\n\n * \n\n Support design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work complies with relevant technical standards and project requirements\n\nExperience Required:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in composite design engineering within automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or a similar high-performance sector\n\n * \n\n Strong proficiency with Siemens NX CAD software, including surfacing and assemblies\n\n * \n\n Good understanding of composite materials, manufacturing techniques, and design for manufacture principles\n\n * \n\n Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team environment\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication and problem-solving skills\n\n * \n\n Degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical, aerospace, or automotive engineering
