Compliance & Auditing Manager
Location: Remote (EXCLUDING Ohio, Wyoming, Washington, North Dakota, California, and New York)
Pay Rate: $62/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Overview
Dean's Professional Services is actively seeking an experienced Compliance & Auditing Manager to oversee auditing, monitoring, and compliance activities for a leading health plan organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare regulations, audit processes, and compliance program development, ensuring alignment with all federal, state, and contractual requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, oversee, monitor, and conduct internal and external auditing and real-time monitoring activities related to the Health Plan's regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance oversight and reporting align with HHSC, TDI, NCQA, and Health Plan Senior Management expectations.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations and provide tools and guidance to support the Health Plan's auditing and monitoring program.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive audit tools to objectively measure internal performance and third-party (subcontractor) compliance against policies, metrics, and regulatory standards.
- Review and revise audit tools annually with input from Senior Management.
- Analyze data and identify compliance risks, errors, or process gaps, recommending practical solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate effectively with management and staff to ensure consistent implementation of compliance initiatives.
- Prepare clear and accurate compliance reports, documentation, and communication materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, auditing, healthcare, and/or legal fields required
- Knowledge of business systems, internal control structures, and the healthcare regulatory environment (CMS, HIPAA, HITECH)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related business software applications
Certifications:
- CCEP - Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (HCCA)
- CHC - Certified in Healthcare Compliance (AIHC or CCB)
