The Role
As Compliance Manager, you’ll develop, implement, and maintain the organisation’s CMS — ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and industry standards across all areas of the business. You’ll be the go-to expert for compliance matters, working closely with senior leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain and update the company’s Legal and Regulatory Register.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits and certifications.
- Manage non-conformances, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes.
- Maintain the Compliance Risk Register and advise on emerging risks.
- Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and the Board.
- Investigate compliance breaches and coordinate corrective actions.
About You
You’ll be someone who combines strong technical compliance knowledge with a proactive and pragmatic approach. You can influence across all levels of the business and take ownership of systems and improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Law, Compliance, Quality, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Solid understanding of UK regulatory frameworks, ISO standards, and HSE legislation.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a compliance, quality, or HSE management role (ideally in manufacturing, laboratory, or technical sectors).
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Lead Auditor or NEBOSH qualification desirable.
