Compliance Manager
ROCKBRIDGE AREA COMMUNITY SERVICES RACS is currently seeking a motivated, qualified individual to work in our coverage area of Rockbridge and Bath County, and the Cities of Lexington and Buena Vista. RACS will provide training, supervision, and education opportunities specific to the position.
Position Overview:
Ensures the organization's adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Essential functions of the position include but are not limited to establishing compliance with the DBHDS Performance Contract, DBHDS Licensing Regulations, DBHDS Human Rights Regulations, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, insurance payor requirements, and the Code of Virginia. This position promotes quality improvement by developing the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan and oversees risk management activities to identify and address risks to the agency, its staff, clients, and assets. The position also ensures the agency's workforce is adequately informed and trained through comprehensive training, real-time consultation, and written resources, covering topics such as patient privacy, human rights, incident reporting, emergency preparedness, business ethics, and the prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse.
Qualifications:
- Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in a healthcare, social service, public administration, or business administration field of study.
- 3-7 years of experience managing the compliance activities of a healthcare, social service, government or non-profit organization.
- Must possess supervisory experience.
- Must possess or obtain a compliance certification (CHC, CCEP, CFE, CHPC or equivalent) within 18 months of assuming the position.

Probationary Period: All persons that are newly hired, rehired, transferred, promoted, or demoted into a Rockbridge Area Community Services position must serve a new 6-month probationary period.
