The Senior Network Engineer will operate across onshore, offshore, and site locations and must bring a strong background in telecommunications and network technologies. The role involves close collaboration with Project Managers, clients, and globally dispersed team members to lead technical design activities and deliver projects from initial concept through to client handover. A willingness to undertake hands on physical installations, testing, and fault diagnosis is essential, as is the ability to produce comprehensive and accurate project documentation.
- BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) Certification or willingness to achieve
- MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) Certification or willingness to achieve
- Project commissioning experience
- A good working knowledge of infrastructure implemented in offshore and onshore facilities
- Strong exposure in the delivery of highly scalable, economically feasible and high performing systems and networks, within a functional delivery matrix of Critical Telecoms, Enterprise and Major Project Environments
- Over 5 years’ experience in data communications and network infrastructure solutions
- Experience of Technical Assurance within an EPC environment in the Oil and Gas industry, and preferably within the Upstream Gas business
- Knowledge of Edge, Access, Distribution and Transmission layers
- Basic working knowledge of Versa SD-WAN Technology and configurations
- Understanding of General Practices and Standards for data communication network infrastructure
- Certification and hand‐on experience in the following: Cisco IPT, WAN and LAN routing protocols (EIGRP, IGRP, BGP, HSRP, OSPF); Ethernet switch technologies (spanning tree (STP/RSTP); Wireless network technologies: 802.11/ABGN, Cisco & Aruba WLC and access points; Versa technology; Network authentication protocols and Network monitoring protocols. Design and implementation of SD-WAN and QoS
- Basic working knowledge of Server infrastructure both physical and virtual (e.g. VMware)
- Proficient in utilizing network packet sniffers as needed to analyze and troubleshoot network traffic effectively

- Maintain and reconfigure the network lab as required for project testing.
- Apply sound understanding of Process Control Networks (PCN) and cyber vulnerabilities and attack vectors.
- Lead ongoing networking improvement initiatives.
