Commissioning Technician
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionKDG Construction Consulting is seeking a Commissioning Technician with 8 years of experience in commissioning in educational facility construction or public works. The Commissioning Technician will manage the commissioning process on various in-house small to medium sized projects.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage the commissioning process on various in-house small to medium sized projects
- Perform Commissioning design reviews, submittal reviews and closeout document reviews
- Create pre-functioning and functional checklists and commissioning plans
- Conduct Commissioning meetings and managing the commissioning process for assigned projects
- Perform field observations and functional testing
- Document and track test results on issue resolution logs
- Create commissioning deliverables such as final commissioning reports
- Assist in the review and development of staff training and continuing education opportunities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Project Manager of Commissioning
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Eight (8) years full time paid professional experience in commissioning
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, architecture or construction management
- Working knowledge of building code, CHPS, and commissioning requirements
- ANSI commissioning certification (CxA, CxT, BCxP, Certified Commissioning Professional)
- Extensive knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
Qualifications
- Experience in design or construction management with a focus on mechanical systems
- Engineer-In-Training Certification or valid CA Professional Engineering License
- Industry-recognized energy management certification
Anticipated Salary Range: $131,600 - $141,400
The offered salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications, education, experience, and work location.
