Installation and Commissioning Engineer \n\nc£45k basic + generous overtime + ewxcellent benefits (OTE c£65k pa)\n\nDerby / UK coverage \n\nOur client has been established for more than 35 years and are recognised market leaders in the provision of innovative and bespoke integrated systems primarily to the transport, airport and power infrastructure sectors, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Commissioning Engineer to complement their established and successful team of electrical and control professionals delivering end to end control system solutions. \n\nWorking a combination of days and nights throughout the year, the role of Commissioning Engineer works alongside the project team and the development engineers during the commissioning stages of multiple projects and ensuring a smooth handover to the customer. Ideally with a background in the control system industry, core duties will include (but not be limited to): \n\nCommissioning, testing and troubleshooting installation of equipment and control systems on site\nPerforming loop checks, I/O testing and functional verification of systems according to the Installation and Commissioning Test document.\nPLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.\nField device set-up\nPerforming site acceptance tests, fault find and correction of any PLC code or wiring issues.\nProducing documentation such as RAMs; test documentation; weekly progress reports etc.\nAttending site progress meetings, toolbox talks etc and providing professional representation of the business especially during client-facing test conditions.To be considered for this varied and challenging Commissioning Engineer position offering genuine scope for career progression and development, it is envisaged that successful candidates will demonstrate at least 2 years relevant commissioning work experience and be qualified to at least HNC level or above in electrical or control engineering.
