Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client in Columbus MS is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the team

Duties:

- Receive assignments from the technical lead and provide regular status updates.
- Conduct thorough testing of automation equipment and critical systems, including electrical, network, IO, drives, and motors.
- Troubleshoot complex circuits using schematics, DMM, scope meters, and hand tools.
- Test and diagnose Drive, PLC, and IO communication issues.
- Collaborate with technical leads and customers to update and execute the commissioning plan.
- Assist in the development and improvement of the commissioning process.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during testing, working closely with engineering teams.
- Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance throughout all commissioning activities.

Requirements:

- Bachelor"s Degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years in industrial automation.
- Strong knowledge of motors, drives, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PLC programming/configuration (Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE) and drives (Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley) is a plus.
- Industrial electrical experience .
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication; effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team-oriented, professional, and ethical.
- Eagerness to learn, train, and improve technical skills.
