Commissioning Engineer\n Field based\n Up to 60k \n\nJob Purpose\n The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for cold commissioning various projects all around the UK and mentoring aspiring commissioning technicians. A strong understanding of cold commissioning 11-33kV switchgear. Liaising with customers representatives and delivering switchgear installations for various manufacturers such as Siemens, Schneider, Ormazabal, ABB etc\n\nKey Accountabilities\n\nMentor up and coming Test & Commissioning technicians.\nCarry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of the equipment.\nBe responsible in handing over a fully operational system for acceptance by the customer.\nEnsure health and safety procedures and standards are followed on site.

Ensure all Health and safety documentation is filed, maintained and updated on site.\nEnsure commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed / issued to project manager prior to project completion.\nCarry out factory acceptance testing when required, Site acceptance testing and customer witnessing.\nEnsure sites are cleared of equipment and materials / products prior to handover / completion.\nTo undertake any other duties as requested by senior staff within the company\n Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications\n\nHNC or equivalent in Engineering.\nAt least 5-years working within the Power Industry.\nExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and ability to communicate effectively.\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills.\nComputer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.\nFull UK Driving license.\nHas good working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions.\nCan perform tests such as Contact resistance (Ductor), Insulation resistance, AC dielectri with-stand tests, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, relay secondary injection, scheme checks and CT analysis.\nCapable of working with protection relays and making minor changes to settings and configs as and when required.\nInstallation tests on distribution Transformers.\nAssist Senior Commissioning Engineers on major projects
