They are looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for attending various sites nationwide to install, commission, and set to work additional nurse call systems within existing healthcare and custodial environments.

Commissioning Engineer

Job Description



Install, test, and commission nurse call and fire alarm systems in acute hospital and custodial settings.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control hardware, wiring, and programming to meet design specifications.

Lead commissioning activities and supervise subcontractor resources on-site.

Carry out small works engineering from survey through to installation, commissioning, and handover.

Support programme development, scheduling, and milestone planning to ensure timely delivery.

Participate in technical discussions and site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, designers. Contractors / sub-contractors, and project teams.

Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality commissioning outcomes.

Develop and implement commissioning procedures, processes, and tools for consistency and improvement.

Review engineering deliverables to confirm compliance with project specifications and standards.

Accurately complete all required documentation, including timesheets, work/service reports, expenses, and site records.

Maintain company equipment in proper working order (tools, PPE, ladders, vehicle).

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications



Practical electrical installation skills, including containment, cabling, and bedhead trunking.

Knowledge of electrical and communication systems

Experience in a field-based role (Full UK Driver’s License)
