Role Overview:

Verify all building systems and components are correctly installed, functional, and maintainable to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate design and construction documents to ensure systems can be properly commissioned.
  • Create and implement commissioning plans in coordination with project teams.
  • Perform regular site inspections and system tests to verify installation and operation according to design specifications.
  • Identify, track, and resolve issues that arise during the commissioning process.
  • Document all testing procedures, inspections, and findings in detailed commissioning reports.
  • Lead training sessions for operators and maintenance staff on system operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Coordinate and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Write detailed specifications for the commissioning process that become part of the project documentation.
  • Conduct rigorous performance tests to confirm that systems are functioning as intended under all conditions.
  • Ensure that all operations and maintenance manuals are up-to-date and accurate, reflecting any changes made during the commissioning process.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to keep them informed of progress and any issues that arise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field. Degree but not required.
  • Professional commissions certification from industry recognized organization
  • 2-5 years of experience required
  • Extensive experience with the commissioning process, often specializing in areas such as electrical or HVAC systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure all systems meet project requirements

  • Team-oriented, professional, self-starter with a positive attitude and multi-tasking capability.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $105,000.00
