Overview

The Solar Energy industry is growing rapidly and Namaste Solar is uniquely positioned to grow with it. Namaste Solar is seeking Licensed JW electricians that want to join an experienced and dedicated team of solar experts. Namaste Solar builds commercial solar systems ranging from roof mounted systems less than 100kW to utility scale ground mount solar PV systems up to 10MW from start to finish. The candidate for this role will be a collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills, a desire to learn the electrical trade, and the capacity to work both autonomously and with a team. This role works with our Lead licensed Journeyman Electricians to install the electrical AC portion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Includes but not limited to:

Learn from, take direction from, and perform tasks under the supervision of licensed commercial electricians, team leads, and construction managers

Work safely in accordance with all relevant safety standards including OSHA and Namaste Solar Safety Programs

Keep a clean workspace/jobsite at all times

Work on the ground, on ladders, on lifts, and on roofs with varying pitches and heights

Work in adverse weather conditions as needed (rain, snow, variable temperatures)

Become familiar with and continue to learn all relevant Electric Code (NEC) requirements for electrical installations

Install conduit, pull wire, dig and backfill trenches, set and hang electrical equipment, build racking, place ballast block, install modules, and other relevant tasks to building our projects

Be dependable and on time for all required work

Continued evolution of skills and knowledge with PV installations

Travel to jobsites from home location daily

Skills and Qualifications:

Includes but not limited to:

Minimum JW license

Commercial electrical experience

OSHA 10 certification

Excellent teamwork skills and contributor to a positive team environment

Effectively coordinate and communicate with others

Able to listen, understand, and act on direction without difficulty

A commitment to high ethical standards

Support for the JEDI (Justice, Equity, , and ) efforts at Namaste Solar

Flexible with scheduling as needed including overtime

Reliable transportation to jobsite locations

You don't need to have these, but you'll be even more prepared for the job if you have:

Experience working on a commercial construction site

Experience installing large commercial (>100kw) PV systems

Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment

OSHA 30

NFPA 70E

NABCEP Certification

Office Location:

Denver/Boulder with travel from home to job site a daily expectation

While performing the duties of this job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Driving required to site locations.

Work environment:

The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate. Work environment changes can be expected. Work environment is outdoors on the ground and on roofs with infrequent warehouse/office activities. On our project sites, exposure to dangerous electrical gear and wiring, as well as other construction-related hazards, is possible. The daily temperature outside varies from hot to cold depending on the season. Exposure to adverse weather is possible (rain, snow, wind).

Travel:

Daily travel from home to jobsite is required. Travel to project locations requiring overnight lodging (travel/lodging per diems included) is infrequent but can happen.

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting compensation per hour depending on experience and years with a License

Regular 4-day 40 hour work weeks with required overtime as scheduled by construction managers

IMPORTANT: For Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 5-day 50 hour work weeks will be expected due to volume of work
