Position Summary:
The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for building and managing strong relationships with commercial property managers, general contractors, facility managers, and other key decision-makers. This role includes estimating, presenting proposals, and closing sales on mid- to large-scale painting and coating projects. The Commercial Sales Rep acts as a strategic partner, identifying project opportunities and serving as the primary contact throughout the pre-sale and handoff process.
Responsibilities:

Generate and manage a pipeline of commercial opportunities through networking, referrals, prospecting, and cold outreach.Accurately estimate projects using defined company standards and tools (plans, specs, walkthroughs, etc.).

Collaborate with the production team to ensure a clear scope of work and deliver high-quality, on-time execution.

Attend industry networking events, association meetings, and trade shows to build a network of potential commercial clients.

Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts (property managers, HOAs, commercial GC partners, etc.).

Develop a weekly and monthly schedule that balances prospecting, estimating, client meetings, and project handoffs.

Provide exceptional client experiences through clear communication, professionalism, and timely follow-up.

Assist in developing annual territory or vertical market plans aligned with company growth goals.

Utilize CRM to track leads, document client communications, and manage follow-ups effectively.

Lead or contribute to presentations for commercial proposals and project bids.

Pursue professional development opportunities and attend internal sales trainings and meetings.
Qualifications & Requirements:

5+ years of commercial sales or estimating in the paint industry
-
Existing book of business or network in the Indianapolis commercial market strongly .

Familiarity with commercial contract terms, estimating, and proposal writing.

Experience working with architects, engineers, and facilities teams.

Proficiency in CRM software and construction estimating platforms.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
-
Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude.
-
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
