Summary

The Commercial Pool Construction Foreman will be responsible for a wide range of duties/jobs onsite at our construction projects.  This is a hands on working foreman role with crew supervisory responsibilities.  

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction team and supervise construction of large commercial projects from 1 million to 7 million dollars
• Have communication and coordination skills with both employees, managers, owners and clients 
• Handle all documentation and reporting for current project
• Supervise construction crews including both laborers and subcontractors

Qualifications

• Construction knowledge requirements: Layout and Site Work knowledge including layout of work, excavation oversight, backfill and various site work activities
• Structural Concrete knowledge: Forming, Rebar, Pouring of Concrete (Note that MLCP will subcontract Shotcrete and large concrete pours)
• PVC Plumbing knowledge: PVC sch 40 and 80 plumbing
• Strong Documentation and reporting skills
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Hands on Work:
  • Foreman position is a hands on working position
  • Level of direct work is dependent on the project, team, number of subcontractors, etc… Some projects will be 90% hands on work as other projects may be as minimal as 30% hands on work.

Location

• 100% on construction site
• Estimated 75% of projects are travel (over 1 hr from residence), 25% local projects
• Region of work is within 5hrs of our office with the average distance in the 2-3 hr range.
• Additional pay available for employees able to work full-time remote based.

Travel Projects

• Local projects are paid for onsite work only
• Travel projects are projects where overnight stay is required.
• Employee is required to be capable of travel to and from all work, including travel project by his own means. Valid drivers license and personal vehicle is not a requirement but is strongly recommended.
• Travel Project Benefits: Perdiem paid weekly, Travel bonus (discretionary and taxed and added to payroll check)
• All hotel rooms are single occupancy and paid for by MLCP
• Portion of travel projects are designated at four 10+ hour work days with a three day weekend.
