Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and develop complete cost estimates including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Secure competitive vendors and subcontractor quotes and factor them into cost estimates.
• Create bid proposals, budgets, and value-engineering recommendations.
• Organize and maintain estimate files, pricing data, and scope sheets.
• Collaborate with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to align budgets and scopes.
• Track historical costs, maintain up-to-date pricing databases, and monitor market trends.
• Stay current with plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial estimating experience (new construction required).
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, building codes, and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software (FastPIPE, Trimble, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• A sharp analytical mind, strong math skills, and an eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills — able to present estimates with confidence and clarity.

• Journeyman plumbing license or related certification.
• OSHA or other safety training certifications.
