Job Title: Commercial Manager (Major Projects)\n\nLocation: London\n\nSalary: £55000 - £65000 + Package (doe)\n\nDepartment: Commercial\n\nReports to: Head of Private Sector - Commercial\n\nRole Overview\n\nThis opportunity is with a leading specialist contractor in passive fire protection and firestopping, known for over 30 years of technical excellence, compliance, and high-quality project delivery on complex UK schemes.\n\nThe Commercial Manager will oversee opportunities through the sales process and full project lifecycle, ensuring the commercial success of major projects. This includes developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the delivery of high-value projects with excellence and compliance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage commercial aspects of projects from initiation to completion, including billing and reporting.\n\nCollaborate closely with delivery teams to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.\n\nIdentify and pursue new business opportunities, preparing accurate cost and margin analyses.\n\nLead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and project scope development.\n\nMaintain clear communication and documentation across stakeholders.\n\nConduct risk assessments and support tender processes.\n\nContribute to strategic planning and market development initiatives.\n\nRepresent the company at relevant industry events when required.\n\nPerson Specification\n\nEssential Skills and Experience:\n\nProven experience in commercial management on major tier 1 projects, ideally within construction or related sectors.\n\nQualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.\n\nStrong project management, negotiation, and financial reporting skills.\n\nExcellent relationship-building and communication abilities.\n\nStrategic thinker with attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.\n\nKnowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.\n\nCommitment to delivering exceptional service and continuous improvement
